Nova Scotia Firefighters Help Fight Alberta Wildfires

A 21-person crew of wildfire fighters left Nova Scotia this morning to help fight Alberta wildfires. The crew is expected to be on the fireline for about two weeks.

Nova Scotia is a member of the Canadian Mutual Aid Resource Sharing Agreement, which ensures all provinces and territories will receive help if forest fires become too big to handle.

Our heart goes out to Alberta and we wish our Nova Scotia fire crew safe return back home, same as other fire crew from other provinces.
